Potato Tikka Masala In A Bowl

Ingredients for Potato Tikka Masala:

  • turmeric powder ½ teaspoon
  • salt 1 & ½ teaspoon
  • cumin powder ½ tablespoon
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • coriander powder ½ tablespoon
  • red chili powder to taste
  • 1 tablespoon paprika powder
  • garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt whisked
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • gram flour sifted 2 tablespoons
  • yellow food color 1 pinch
  • cut in half boiled & peeled potatoes ½ kg
  • cooking oil 4 tablespoons
  • 1 large sliced onion
  • 1 inch ginger piece
  • cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • garlic cloves 4-5
  • cinnamon stick 3
  • 2 medium tomato cubes
  • cooking oil 2 tablespoons
  • 3 cloves
  • tomato paste 1 tablespoon
  • water 3/4 cup
  • 1-2 green chili chopped
  • green chili
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh coriander chopped
  • chopped fresh coriander

How to prepare Potato Tikka Masala:

For Potato Tikka Masala start by taking a small bowl add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder with ½ teaspoon of black pepper powder and 1 & ½ teaspoon of salt.

Now add ½ teaspoon of cumin powder with ½ tablespoon of coriander powder and 1 tablespoon of paprika powder.

After that, add red chili powder according to your own taste with 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder to make your recipe delicious .

Use a teaspoon to mix then put it aside. Take a large bowl add 2 tablespoons of whisked yogurt with 2 tablespoons of sifted gram flour.  

Add 1 teaspoon of garlic paste with a very very special 1 pinch of yellow food color.

Mix all these ingredients well with the help of a spoon. Then add ½ kg boiled and peeled potatoes in the bowl and coat them in this mixture.

Remember don’t forget to cut these ½ kg potatoes in half before adding them. After the coating process put them aside.

Take a pan add 4 tablespoons of cooking oil. Then add your potatoes in it and fry for 4-5 minutes and remove them from the pan.

For Gravy:

Now add 1 large sliced onion with 1 inch garlic piece and 4-5 cloves of garlic. Take 2 medium size tomatoes cut them into cubes.

Add these tomatoes in the frying pan as well. Cover the pan with the lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes at low flame.

Let it cool down then put all these ingredients in grinder and grind them. Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in the pan.

It’s time to add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds with 3 cinnamon sticks and three cloves. Now add your tomato mixture with 1 tablespoon of tomato paste.

Mix and cook well until the oil starts to separate. Finally, add ¾ cup of water then cover the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes at low flame.

Garnish it with 1-2 chopped green chilies and 1-2 tablespoons of fresh coriander. Then add the potatoes you prepare earlier.

Your Potato Tikka Masala is ready.
